bio

I began drawing at a young age, where plants and wildlife were always the main subjects of my paintings. My early career was spent establishing myself as a graphic designer, later specialising in book design, while illustrating remained a hobby.

In 2014 I decided to further my drawing skills by enrolling in the Botanical Illustration course at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Little did I know that in doing so, I would later refocus my career to become a botanical and natural history illustrator. In 2016 I graduated from the course with distinction, receiving the Eve Reid Bennett Award in both 2015 and 2016.

I am a keen traveller and love to take inspiration from visiting different places around the world and incorporating my findings into my artwork.

I am a member of the following organisations:

ASBA (American Society of Botanical Artists)

ESBA (Edinburgh Society of Botanical Artists)

SSA (Scottish Society of Artists)

SSBA (Scottish Society of Botanical Artists)
